1. Finish Letter of Introduction

Students had about 15 minutes to finish their letter from yesterday and decorate their journal.

2. Journal 2: What do you know about England?

Students wrote a paragraph on what they know about major events in British history, the monarchy and how England differs from the US.

3. Begin British History Part 1

We completed the first two pages of our British history notes before we ran out of time.

1. Index Cards

Students filled out index cards I will be using to keep track of their participation.

2. Class Policies

We spent the majority of the class period reading through the syllabus to make sure everyone is on the same page when it comes to my expectations.

3. Four Corners

This was a fun, ice breaker type activity familiarizing students with each other and the classroom.

4. Class Scenario Rules

Students came up with class rules based on scenarios that have occurred in my class in previous years.
